How We Do It
team, small business, or entrepreneur. Here’s how we do it.
A Friendly Conversation
Content creation is all about relationships. We need to make sure we’re a good fit for each other. Every partnership starts with a get-to-know-you chat to understand your needs, goals, challenges, and opportunities.
Choose the Perfect Content Plan
Your content needs might not be black and white – we understand. We’ve developed flexible content plans to fit your needs like a glove. Tell us what type of volume you’re working with and we’ll match you with the perfect pricing model.
Communication is everything in a content partnership. This step involves establishing our workflow to collect assignments and share them between our teams. As a white label agency, we work with all the major project management and communication tools. If you’ve got a favorite, we’ll use it.
To write for a brand, we need to understand the brand down to the smallest detail. New clients are guided through a battle-tested questionnaire to gauge personality, voice, customer profiles, and more. This step forms the foundation of our writing process.
Razorcopy’s content strategists will map out the short and long-term strategies to make an impact with every piece. This includes examining trending topics, competitive analysis, keyword research, and so on.
The best content starts with an exceptional outline. Your Razor writer will create a top-to-bottom blueprint for each piece so you know exactly what you’re getting upfront – with no gray areas.
Once you give our outline the green light, your Razor writer will begin drafting the content and provide a target deadline – usually within 1-3 business days depending on the task.
Each piece of content written by Razorcopy goes through multiple sets of eyes. Your content will receive thorough proofing from a senior editor for grammar, structure, SEO, and more before it hits your desk.
Your Razor writer will take care of any necessary revisions within 24-48 hours – or less.
With your final stamp of approval, your Razor writer will send the content off to the respective webmaster.
Frequently Asked Questions>
Are Razorcopy writers US-based, native English speakers?
Yes. Our writing team is based in San Diego, CA. Our writers hold bachelor’s degrees in English, marketing, journalism, and more.
What if I don’t see a pricing plan that fits my needs?
Content needs aren’t always set in stone, we get it. We’re happy to work out a custom pricing plan in the short term until we find a rhythm. Our goal is for you to have a flat, predictable rate for content each month – with no unwelcome surprises.
How will I assign tasks to the Razorcopy team?
We’ve worked with many different project management and communication tools over the years to accommodate clients. Our favorites include ClickUp, Trello, Basecamp, Asana, Teamwork, Slack, Skype, Zoom, and more. If you’ve got a preferred PM tool, we’re happy to use it.
What’s the typical turnaround time?
Turnaround times can vary based on the project, length, and bandwidth of the writer. To give you an idea, we generally aim to produce a 1,200-word blog post in 1-3 business days – or less. We’ll provide a target deadline once the outline gets approved.
Do you conduct keyword research?
Yes. Razor writers are all educated on SEO principles and trained to conduct keyword research. For all applicable pieces – like blog posts and long-form guides – a keyword list will be presented with the outline for your approval.
How many revisions are included?
Each piece of content gets two free revisions. If a piece needs more than two revisions, we may need to re-evaluate the brief.
